Yay! Finally Toma play in a new drama! The drama will air in Fuji TV on October 23rd at 9 pm, called "Osozaki no Himawari, Boku no Jinsei - Renewal" (Late Blooming Sunflower, My Life, Renewal).
The story is about the lives of seven people who follow vague dreams but live an ordinary life. Ikuta Toma plays as Kodaira Joutarou, who has difficulty to find a job after graduating from school and left without any real perspective. And then he succeed to find regular employment but it didn't last long and he was laid off because of downsizing. At the same time he was dumped by his girlfriend. Fed up with his life, he ends up join a revitalization group of Shimanto River area in Kochi.
Other cast in this drama are Maki Yoko as Nikaido Kahori, Kiritani Kenta as Fuji Junichi, Kashii Yu as Morishita Ayahana.
The theme song is "Joutouku" by Mr. Children, which will included in Mr. Children's new album and will be released on November 28.

By the way, I just realize that most of his dramas title are related with flower, "Hana Yori Dango" - "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" - "Hachimitsu to Kuroba" and this time "Osozaki no Himawari". Maybe because you're as beautiful as flower, Toma. Haha I'm just playing around with my mind...... -___-

And he will play in new movie too! He will be starring in thriller movie Nou Otoko (Brain Man).
He will play as Suzuki Yukihiro, mysterious man who commits countless murder in the name of justice. People call him "Nou Otoko" (Brain Man) and an ‘expressionless murder machine’ for he possesses intelligence and outstanding memory, yet never seems to show any emotions. cr : tokyohive
‘Nou Otoko’ is scheduled for release in February 9 of next year.
